Internships
An internship with Servants is very different from most other short-term trips, because you will probably be living with a local family in a slum. Through the experience you can learn so much about God, suffering, poverty, discipleship, compassion, powerlessness, and faith. All of these things are essential to your life as a follower of Jesus no matter where you are. Living in the midst of poverty helps you see the world through God’s eyes even when you are only there for a short time.

Each of our teams are available to host interns this year, and always keen to facilitate an experience for you to learn deeply and personally about God’s transforming presence in places we least expect. We appreciate time to prepare, and make your visit as good as possible for you, our teams, and the community where you will stay. Internship Options
Cambodia Internship
Starting March 2024 || 1-2 months || (USD) $300 for single, $500 for couple per month, plus airfares, vaccinations, health insurance etc. The team already has visitors booked for 2023, and invites more interns for 2024. Singles or couples will stay with a Cambodian family. Interns are invited to join team times/activities. To learn more about internships with Servants, click the button.
Indonesia Internship
|| 1-6 months || COST: (USD)$500 per month, plus airfares, vaccinations, health insurance etc. || Jakarta internships will be available from August 2025. Interns could possibly live with the team or with a trusted host family in the neighborhood. Are you keen to live and learn alongside Indonesian neighbors and team-mates? India Internship
|| 1-3 Months || COST: $300 single, $500 couple (USD) per month, plus airfares, vaccinations, health insurance etc. || Live with a Servants family for a week to get used to the slum community in which they live and work, then live with a local trusted Indian family for 3-12 weeks to have a real immersion in the life of the poor in India. During that immersion you would be regularly mentored by one of the team and be a valued part of team gatherings. Interested in an internship in Northern India? Discovery Teams 2025
German Language
|| 3 weeks || Jan-Feb 2025 or July-Aug 2025 || German speaking planned experience in Manila. Experience a slum home-stay or living in Onesimo community. Apply by 7 Nov 2024, and join the preparation weekends in November and January. Click the button to read details in German.
Lilok Farm 2025/26
6 weeks to 3 months || Manila and Tanay, in Rizal Province || COST: $500 per month, plus airfares, vaccinations, health insurance etc. || Begin your internship with a 2-4 weeks homestay in an urban poor neighbourhood, hosted by companions from the Servants network. Then move for 1 to 2 months to the Lilok eco-farm (Sakahang Lilok) retreat where groups from urban poor communities can experience a time-out from the city. There you will work alongside the Lilok team, including farm and field work, house chores, taking care of animals, cooking meals, joining community times, joining events that are being hosted here and helping in the preparations for them. Accommodation is your own small room in a native type building and simple but comfortable facilities. Lilok Farm has a real edge with regards to recycling and sustainable off-grid simple living. Philippines Internship
|| 1-3 months || COST: $600 (USD) per month, plus airfares, vaccinations, health insurance etc. || A home-stay in communities where Servants workers or partners are involved. Live with a trusted Filipino family for 2 to 4 weeks. Single or couple. Interns are invited to join in all activities, and have check-ins with their mentor from Servants or partner organizations once or twice a week.
