Colour changes will be a feature of Servants in this coming year. For a long time we haven’t been all white and Anglo-Saxon. We’re multiracial. But a recent decision by the International Leadership Team has opened the door wider for Asian and other non-western missionaries to join us in mission to the urban poor.

At the annual Servants leadership meeting held in India in August this year the idea of non-western countries nurturing and sending workers with Servants was strongly affirmed.

Churches planted by western workers among the poor now may develop as sending bases for new workers to multiracial teams. Leadership of teams is passing to non-westerners. Servants to Asia’s Urban Poor is becoming Servants WITH Asia’s Urban Poor.
