One of the ministries that has grown out of the Servants Manila team is the Sakahang Lilok organic farm retreat at the edge of Manila. It offers people from the city time-out for rest, reflection, engaging with nature and the Creator. It is an opportunity for poor people to take a holiday from the mundane efforts (and crises) of slum life. It’s an experience of a simpler life of connecting with and caring for creation and each other.
In April this year, some Servants workers in Manila took a group of families from their neighbourhood to Sakahang Lilok for a “family camp.” Here they tell the story in video.
