India, No-Sweat! | 19 July

The Monsoon has swept across India bringing less-scorching temperatures along with soaring humidity. That makes it an extremely sweaty time of year.

But don’t fret, you can visit our team in India without raising a sweat.

Join our next online team catch-up, for a fun hour of stories, photos, questions and time for prayer.

Details

The on-line catch-up will be hosted on Zoom at 10:30am India time, Saturday July 19th.

That will be late night on Friday 18th in the Americas, bright and early Saturday morning in UK and Europe, morning in Asia, and afternoon in Australia and New Zealand. Check the actual time in your timezone here.

To join, write to Mark at events[at]servantsasia.org and he will send you the Zoom link.

Recent happenings include
  • testing a video-quiz designed to improve awareness about TB in poor communities
  • a much needed holiday in the mountains
  • exploring whether/how much becoming literate improves mental health and social participation
  • an interesting array of visitors – Australian intern, Indian potential project leader, and an Indian-American Global Urban Trek participant
  • rapid progress on an AI-powered app to help Indian children learn to read Hindi

The team is also looking forward to the planned arrival of their new German team members in the next month or two.

Anyone with an interest in supporting the team, or hearing more and getting to know them better, is welcome to join. We’d especially like to meet anyone with crazy ideas such as coming to visit in person, or joining the team long term.
