Join us for this special online launch event for Anita Rahma’s book Beyond Our Walls: Finding Jesus in the Slums of Jakarta.
We will hear from the author herself, and others who have read and heartily recommend this unique contribution to how we think about and practice missions. This is no comfortable opinion piece, but the story of over a decade spent immersed in the lives of the urban poor – a life of following Jesus amidst crises, monotony, grief, and joys.
Slums are beautiful and tragic places. The people who live there are not merely statistics, nor projects to help us spend our spare time and money. They are people made in God’s own image, and have become dear friends and neighbours to Anita, Yosiah and their sons. Can’t wait?
